  1. Honest. This is by far the most essential quality – hence the reason why it is number one. Honesty is important, because your property manager will have your livelihood in their hands. Not only that, but if a property manager is collecting rent, you don’t want any ethical issues to get in the way. You also don’t want them to be skimming a little money off the top by overcharging tenants, because that could put you in a legal predicament – not to mention, you are also being stolen from.   2. Communication. This is another essential quality that ranks high as well. Your property manager will be communicating with a lot of different people – from the rental managers to the tenants, and with the owner of the property.
